Sadru Kheraj
Sadru Kheraj is a medical practitioner. He has worked as a general practitioner in inner city London general practice for the last 30 years.

His interest in photography was kindled when he was at secondary school. Science lessons were punctuated by discussions between the teachers and the students about the relative merits of the Praktika camera and the best lenses to use for different types of photography.

The school had a darkroom and the teachers were happy to provide extracurricular instruction on using the enlarger and on printing and developing in black and white.

The long term loan of an Olympus OM1 camera from his aunt cemented a life time interest in photography.
Sadru has never had any formal training in photography. He likes to think of himself as a ‘fine art’ photographer and he aspires to create images that provoke thought and discussion.

Sadru preference is to work with available light. His main interest is in understanding, appreciating and then capturing an image where the interplay of light and colour have created a specific moment of interest. He has a preference for working in black and white but also enjoys colour.
